1、 Poor sealing of gate valve:
There is a defect in the sealing surface between the gate valve and the valve seat, which results in incomplete sealing when the gate valve is closed. This may be due to improper material selection, unreasonable manufacturing processes, or wear caused by long-term use.
2、 Gate blockage:
The gate is subjected to external force during the closing process, causing it to get stuck in the pipeline and unable to fully close. This may be caused by excessive pressure inside the pipeline, the presence of debris inside the pipeline, or defects in the gate itself.
3、 Insufficient handwheel torque:
When manually operating the gate valve, the handwheel torque is insufficient to fully close the gate. This may be caused by insufficient manual operation force, unreasonable handwheel design, or faulty handwheel.
4、 Transmission device malfunction:
In large-diameter gate valves that operate automatically, there may be faults in the transmission devices (such as electric motors, pneumatic devices, etc.) that cause the gate valve to not close properly. This may be caused by damage to the transmission device, equipment failure, or abnormal control signals.
