Common faults of pneumatic plug valves include the following categories:
1、 Leakage phenomenon:
It may be caused by aging, wear, or damage to the sealing ring of the pneumatic plug valve. The solution is to replace the sealing ring or clean the sealing surface.
2、 Unable to open/close:
It may be caused by the pneumatic actuator of the pneumatic plug valve being too old or malfunctioning. The solution is to replace the pneumatic actuator.
3、 Inaccurate itinerary:
It may be caused by sensor failure or transmission system malfunction of the pneumatic plug valve. The solution is to replace the sensor or repair the transmission system.
4、 Premature pressure relief:
It may be caused by blockage of the pressure relief hole of the pneumatic plug valve or malfunction of the pressure relief valve. The solution is to clean the pressure relief hole or replace the pressure relief valve.
To avoid the occurrence of the above faults, it is necessary to regularly maintain and upkeep the pneumatic plug valve, such as cleaning and lubricating, replacing the sealing ring, inspecting and adjusting the transmission system, etc. When using pneumatic plug valves, the following precautions should also be taken:
1. Before operation, it is necessary to check whether the air source is normal to prevent faults caused by low or high air source pressure.
2. When operating pneumatic plug valves, excessive roughness should be avoided to prevent damage to sealing rings and other components.
